The Eastern Enlargement of the EU

The Eastern Enlargement of the European Union is an extraordinary European achievement. It becomes possible, due to a series of compromises among the Member States, based on their national interests. Taken in their entirety, although important on their own right, they give shape to an inconsistent enlargement policy.

Shaping Our Common Future

Prof. Ingrid Shikova delivered a lecture on the topic “Multi-annual Financial Framework” of the European Union post-2020 – It Is Different This Time Around”, during the Bulgarian-Macedonian youth seminar “Shaping Our Common Future” in Berovo, Republic of Macedonia.

Among the topics of discussion at the forum were current themes on EU agenda, the future of the Western Balkans, regional cooperation. The seminar is organized by the Economic Policy Institute (Sofia) and the Institute for Social Studies (Skopje) with the support of “Hanns Seidel” Stiftung.
