Тhe relationship between Russia and the EU reached the lowest point in its history as a result of the attack in Salisbury. In this emerging diplomatic crisis, Bulgarian politicians occupying some of the highest posts in the country dare to recommend that Bulgaria plays the role of a mediator between Russia and the EU. This will, however, is a symptom of a problem – an inadequate evaluation of the situation – and in fact, leads towards the opposite to the desired direction, underlining the inability of the Bulgarian country to cope with the role.
