Crucial Months for the Future of the European Single Market

The „Brexit” challenge, the future of the EU budget, the migration pressure on many of the Member States, the terrorism threats, the need for outlining a new strong supranational dimension of the European defence – undoubtedly these are the basic major questions in the European agenda. However, focusing the media and public attention completely on these questions leaves in the background the „smaller” issues of the daily effort to maintain the European single market – technological, competitive, innovative and capable to sustain the bases of the European societies, so that they, through their advantages, to be able to meet challenges of transcontinental nature such as migration, terrorism, security.
