The article “The political initiatives of the Rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU – from empirical facts to expert evaluation” by Mirela Veleva-Eftimova &K. Haralampiev proposes a novel instrument for expert evaluation of political initiatives of the Rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Today, January 10, 2020, after long and heated discussions, the European Council decided on the multiannual financial framework 2021-2027. States' contributions will amount to 1.06% of GNI. This was decided by the Heads of State and/or Governments of the Member States, whose roles were performed by European Studies students of Sofia University under the expert guidance of European Council President Charles Michel, whose role was performed by Prof. Ingrid Shikova.

On 19 November 2019, the closing event of the 30th Anniversary of the Jean Monnet Program took place in Brussels. The conference, organized by the European Commission, was dedicated to "EU Studies in Digital Age".
